what would i need? (brakes)

hi, im new 2 the club hea, so if any1 can help me, i'd like that... anywase hea goes, would the 4 piston calipers for the rx7 fit on my rx7? mines a 87 base im guessing. N i think the 4 piston is from what, like 89-92 models. Well anywase if any1 know what i need/parts, i would greatly appreciate it, thanks

The 4 pots are from higher S4/S5 models, GTU, TII, converts. Do a search for 5 lug conversion. Should be helpful.

I can't remember if the bracket is different or not. But I think the 4 lug is a non-vented disc, the 4 pot is for vented discs. Maybe it was the rear that was like that. I would have to look it up for sure.

well i think you should do some research, if you are serious about the upgrade you should probably do that b4 starting the job, I did a quick search and turned up with a ton of info, you are not the first that wants better brakes.. try reading the sticky at the top of the 2nd gen section, these are the first few posts at the top of the section, there is tons of info in there, links to other site, factory service manuals and all kinds of stuff, after you do that, click the search button at the top right and click advanced search, type in your search "4 lug upgrade" "5 lug swap" or whatever you think will turn up the best results, try them all... click on the 2nd gen section in the big box to the right of where you typed that in to select where to search and then start reading you will probably spend more time reading than actually working on your car, or at least I hope you do, so that you get it right...

I would have said better grammar would net better results. You can't search with ebonics and expect a decent answer.

But yes, there have been several threads dealing with this recently.
