welded diff mount?

The car that I have been working on,the owner says it has a welded diff mount, but it looks like sqaure tubing, and I didnt see any weld spots...
Can someone show me pics of the stock mount after its welded,or where to weld.. hes got sqaure tubing in it right now..

Im going to have to put the oem style bushing back in..

any info plz thanks

I welded the diff mount in my 7 into one solid piece after I kept snapping them. :hah:

Use the oem rubber thingy as a guide to set up the two steel pieces. Stick whatever steel you want between them and weld it up. I used an arc welder.

Just be sure to keep the two steel pieces of the mount lined up (to one another) the same way they would be if the rubber piece was in there. :)

It looks like square tubing is there, can someone draw out ,or show me a pick of where the weld points shoulkd be?

Don't worry about that - you don't have to be that precise. And it's not like anyone's ever going to see it. Just make sure it's solid.

Ok its done with sqaure tubing,is that solid enough?

I can't tell from here. ;)

If you want to know if it's solid, whack the hell out of it with a hammer. Did it stay together. Then it ought to hold up after you install it. ;)

Dude, it's Conan time. Weld the hell out of it and put it in. If it breaks, take it out and weld it more. It's a pretty simple thing.
