Weird Problems

OK, here goes, I got my car t start, but there are a few weird problems. irst off, it starts, then sometimes, not all the time, after like three seconds of going at 1.3k, it just goes down an dies. I can keep it accelerated, but if i dont step on the gas it will die.

When i do step on the gas, i accelerate pretty well, al the way up to abut 60, then it hesitates ever so slightly at around 3800, and the volts go a littl below 12, then back up.

Usually when it does idle, its horrible, but when i have to keep iit alive with the gas, and I step on it (86 na) it hoots flames upon shifting, were talking about 7 inch flames here. My radio dies once in a while, and that's about it, what do you guys think?

I guess I will take a stab at it. First off sounds like you have a cluster of problem probably going to be hard to diagnose all of them. The 3800 RPM hesitation is a common problem on the 7’s search and you should find the “fix” (does not work on all cars). With the idle and overall running of the motor, have you done a compression test? This is the first place to start unless it is totally obvious (like a spark plug wire missing). From there you might have a vacuum leak, or sensors out, or a short, or bad coils, or blah blah blah. There could be one thing or lots of things contributing to your problem. I would do the comp test first and go from there. You mentioned that your radio does not work some times? Not that it is 100% related but Mazda wiring and electronics are not the best in the world (I have problems with mine that I know are contributing to it running rough). So you might want to do an electrical test if possible (not sure of your level of mechanical abilities are). Sorry this was such a broad range answer, hope I helped.
