weird problem!

ok, it starts when i shift to first gear and second gear... i have power and torque... then i shift to 3rd gear and the rpm just rolls up but the torque is gone... 4th and 5th gear are the same... i step on the gas, RPM goes up... then down then i feel the torque come in... like an automatic car. the funny thing is... my car feels automatic but it's freaking standard... help please! i'm thinking it's the clutch, but i'm not really sure about it.

so you put it in 3rd gear with the clutch out, punch the gas and the motor revs but the car continues at the same speed? if thats the case you are peeling clutch...

You wouldn't notice clutch slippage as much, or at all, in the lower gears because they are just that, lower, therefore much easier to turn

Its time for a clutch. If you`re on a tight budget check out what Kevin Landers has up for sale.($40+Shipping)
http://www.rotaryresurrection.com
Click on the "Parts" link
Otherwise there are lots of options for new ones from autozone-cheap on up.
Good luck

For a stock clutch, you just drive.
For a race clutch, you just go race.
For a race clutch driven on the street, you have to hold the power way down, & slip it very gently for the first 200 miles.
