weird electrical problem
car started fine, as in it cranked over fine, and then suddenly one day i go to start it and it wont turn over.
so i get a jump start but the added juice doest do anything it still turns over very slowly like its dead. i diagnose it as a bad started cuz i can hear the solenoid clicking. so i but a new started i put it in and turn the key and starts right up. then drive it bring it back call it good. then i go to start it up again same symptoms as before
any ideas?
bad ground? bad battery?, i did a basic test at first-consisting of putting in someone elses battery out of a new car i didnt have it tested or load tested cuz it was stuck and needed it fixed asap.

The next time you try to start & it fails, feel the primary cables for a hot spot caused by a weak connection.
A cable can look good but have corrosion under the insulation.

thanks to the forum i figured it out. turned out that a couple of weeks ago when i had it in the shop a mechanic took off the ground that bolts to the tranny and didnt put it back so it started when it happened to rub against the block otherwise it was just hanging and the startings system acted dead.
thanks
