I spray painted my hood, headlight covers and bumper a gloss black (they were blue before, since I had to replace them due to an accident) and had just gotten done washing and waxing it. I will field all questions about the lights as they arise.

I'm not trying to be mean but why would you replace the hood and headlight covers damaged from your accident with dented ones? Or are they the original pieces?

jgrts20 01-11-06 04:32 PM

um.......sorry but what headlight conversion is that its kinda ugly. SORRY

DragonRx7 01-11-06 04:39 PM

I got all three pieces for $150 and I kinda had to replace it in a hurry and it was a good deal. Oh, yeah, I made a mistake: I painted the covers but I got the whole assembly in that price, too. As far as the looks go, I plan on using the FTP holes for air intake and cleaning up the way the lights look right now. I just have to fab some stuff up and it'll look better.

This is what it looked like before I replaced everything.

>_> i agree not to be mean but :O that rx7 is not pretty ; ; dented and beat up :'(

DragonRx7 01-11-06 04:47 PM

I'm working on it. For now, I work with what I have (can afford). ^_^;

DirkyDirka 01-11-06 04:56 PM

o shizz didnt see pic of before what happeneD? :O and i understand im hella broke and my car wont start unless i jump it...so i shouldnt talk =D

DragonRx7 01-11-06 05:09 PM

Yeah, I know that feeling too. You figure out what it is yet?

chano 01-11-06 05:46 PM

you could have fixed thoses dents on your hood with some bondo so it looks better but whatever is your car. actually it looks a lot better than my car with the dents and all lol. DId you make that rear hatch cover?, im planning im making something similar.

WannaSeeMyWankel 01-11-06 06:07 PM

MMMMMmmmmmmmm..........rear cargo cover...........i want........where do i find?

DragonRx7 01-11-06 06:26 PM

I really couldn't tell you. It came with the car. I'm pretty sure it was in all TII's. Maybe check ebay or even the For Sale section here. There's a specific set of reat tower covers and knobs on the hatch for strings to attach to so it'll raise when the hatch goes up.
Yeah, I could've done some bondo but, 1)I didn't feel like spending that money 2)It adds character?

Carzy Driver 01-11-06 06:28 PM

wow, what happened?

DragonRx7 01-11-06 06:37 PM

Rear ended a Camaro. See those lines on the hood? Yeah, those are from the muffler on the Camaro. They had to get a new muffler and a repainted bumper. That was it. :(

slow_2ed_gen 01-11-06 06:43 PM

i think your headlights are broken, there stuck half up :gayboy:

BlueSteel 01-11-06 06:47 PM

i can imagine your nighttime visibility would be substantially less then stock... are those are fog lights from AutoZone or something?

DragonRx7 01-11-06 07:06 PM

I'm working on using the FTP holes to get some more airflow. Going to vent from there right to the filter and I'm using the light assembly to use it as a frame. The visibility isn't too dimished since I modified them to use 100w bulbs as opposed to the 55w. Yeah, I know, still kinda cheap/ricey but in the long run they serve a purpose. And besides as long as I admit that it's kinda ass...

those pictures make me sad in the heart... :-{
