Ugh, you're gonna have a candystore on wheels, man. What are your plans for the car in terms of anti-theft and security?

well, today was a pretty good day.... i went and sandblasted all the parts i was gonna reuse... manifolds, coil mounts, misc. metal hoses..... its was alot of work! but the end result is amazing! i also finished the first step of sanding the engine bay, now i move to a finer grit and prep it for paint

i was just given some teaser pics of my motor from my engine builder (guitarjunkie/dave) the manifold is an fd unit thats been cut and rewelded to fit on a fc motor.. in one pic, you can see my pineapple racing oil pan and racing beat lightened flywheel

SirCygnus 09-05-06 01:33 AM

dear god allmighty. not an ssac monstrosity?

SmogSUX 09-05-06 05:53 AM

My SSAC manifold hasn't broken yet :P over 5k miles on a street driven 350 rwhp application :)

I think you own the only FC I've ever seen with 18s on it that look good.

vipers 09-05-06 01:46 PM

lol...thanx. i was a little worried about them looking huge at first... but my 17's looked a little small, so i took a shot in the dark, and very happy with the results....

and ive know a few people who are using the ssauto manis (the new ones, not the first run ones).. and no problems yet, and if something does happen... just re weld it and reinforce it.... nothing to get all antsy in your pantsy about;)

vipers 09-07-06 01:28 PM

ok... dave dropped off my motor, header, and 1.00ar hotside last night.... i ordered my mazdaspeed motor mounts, all my AN Fittings and stainless fuel lines...

i plan on painting the engine bay this weekend, and if my motor mounts come before sunday, ill install the motor....

ill get some pics up asap!
