Umm... The Pully Below the waterpump Slid back?
I know ive posted 3 Problems in the past day.. But this just Started.. and i have NO idea how it got this way or why...
The Main Pully Connected to the E-shaft.. Seems to of Slid back about a cm or 2... its touching that little Peace of Metal That comes out behind the Pully.. looks like a Timing Marker or something... PLEASE.. god tell me this is Fixable -.- |

I don't see this ending well.
I'm trying to picture the stack of stuff on the shaft behind the front cover and figure out which pieces shit the bed. Its all in there pretty tight even with out good thrust bearings. |

I read a thread where a guys e-shaft was cracked through, and the flywheel could move back n forth a half inch or so :scratch: |
Has it been rebuilt recently? Possibly missing a spacer in the front stack?
It seems like anything that would cause these symptoms would cause catastrophic damage elsewhere. Are you sure it still runs? :lol: |
i drove it home from work like that.. when i hurd it scraping on that metal tab.....
It has not been rebuilt.. its due for one.. And i haven't tryd to pull it out.... im afraid to |

Ive got an odd Vibration when i push the clutch in around 45+
In Neutral with the Clutch up i can Hear a humming sound... sounds like.. god cant even describe it.. but there's a new Throw out on it.. New clutch.. Everything seemd ok when i did the work then.. no movement. But im almost sure this cant be a good thing in any Respect |
the thrust bearing/washer is probably missing or wore out... you will have to remove the front cover to fix it

Have you messed with the front eccentric shaft bolt at all? Maybe installing a new oil thermo valve pellet or anything there?
I don't see the clutch job having anything to do with it, though. |
Any time that pulley moves, it is due to a thrust bearing or spacer problem. Don't drive the car in this condition otherwise you will almost certainly cause major damage.
If the bearing failed spontaneously, it is due to some other problem like lack of oil. It will also have filled your oil system full of metal shavings. If someone removed the front hub nut for some reason (maybe they used it to brace the engine so the flywheel nut could be removed?) then the bearing could have fallen behind the spacer with the same result. |
if the spacer falls out of place - it would make the hub sit farther forward toward the radiator... so either that guy discingrated and you retorqued the e-bolt farther in....
