Yo,

Well since my good friend Dana is turbo'ing his GTUs:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=161663

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=167914

I guess I am going to have to go Turbo to keep up with him. Unlike his plans, I'm am going to go stand alone right away, Haltech baby! Also, since he's going with the stock turbo...I'm going with a Greddy TD06SH 20G-16cm turbo from RX7.com.

My goal is a reliable and safe 325RWHP. This is over double what my NA 13B is putting out! I'm tired of getting beat by my brother's Integra GS-R and my friends Civic Si.

I'm sorry all my NA brothas, but I'm selling out. I've had the car for almost 4 years now and I need more power! With the Haltech and mild PSI I will be running I'm sure the motor will be fine.

May the Boost be with you!

AAAA HAHAHAHA!!!!! THE N/A FALLS!!!!!

WELCOME TO THE DARK SIDE!!!

Jarrett

RarestRX 04-01-03 02:19 AM

Yo,

It was inevitable, me and Dana have this titanic power struggle going on. It's like an Arms Race.

He goes Turbo...

I got bigger Turbo...

He's probably going to scrap the stock turbo now since I've announced this...

Oy!

SerpentineGX 04-01-03 02:19 AM

Why not get a TII and trick it out instead? Have both rides, eh?

Node 04-01-03 02:21 AM

sellout

RarestRX 04-01-03 02:22 AM

Yo,

Nah, the TII is too fat and has too much extra crap on it. By Turbo'ing a GTUs you actually get the best of both worlds, the stripped FC and the turbo powerplant. It's like a Infini IV!

I guess I have to practice changing out the rear diff mounts now...

J-Rat 04-01-03 02:26 AM

It will be okay.. You still retain all the N/A knowledge.

But the forced induction is like crack.. Once you got some, you want more.

FCdemon 04-01-03 02:27 AM

dude, you are the one guy I thought would never butcher his N/A. Why don't you get a giant street port and true duals? it'd be a lot easier and you'd spank the cars you mentioned above, while still being super reliable.

If you're dead set on going turbo, you should probably just sell the GTUs rather than destroying it, and buy a turbo. it'd be a lot easier and cheaper for you.

Cheers! 04-01-03 02:31 AM

interesting april fools joke... almost as good as the last one u did about selling your car

RarestRX 04-01-03 02:36 AM

Yo,

Cheers, it is no April Fool's joke, I will take some pics tomorrow of all the gear!

I have a Turbonetics Deltagate adjustable wastegate, FMIC, hardpipes, down pipe, the whole shebang!

You'll see.

J-Rat 04-01-03 02:37 AM

I didnt even realize that.. It is April first...

Node 04-01-03 02:42 AM

JRat, you also didn't realize that RarestRX has no penis and should not be allowed childrens or schools
And he never had any N/A knowledge ;)

Liquid Anarchy 04-01-03 03:03 AM

RarestRX is to N/A RX-7

like

Benedict Arnold is to America

DriftDragon28 04-01-03 04:20 AM

NOOOOOOOOOOO!
Can I have your NA engine then? i promise to port it really carefully then burn lots of rice with it.

Terrh 04-01-03 09:25 AM

buit will it be as fast as my 10thAEv8 project?

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...334&perpage=25

Rxmfn7 04-01-03 09:30 AM

Silkworm 04-01-03 09:47 AM

What kinda weight loss program are you on? Erm, I mean your car :D
Cause GXL's love to be hefty. get rid of the DTSS, get rid of the AAS, uhm, dunno what else, the rubber pad on top of the door covering the fuel pump.
I'm sure you can figure out more shit

Suds7 04-01-03 10:17 AM

He has to be lying, because the tdo6 licks balls, especially for low boost.

Get a 60-1 for the 10-14 range and your get that kind of power. Plus its cheaper.

Aluminum hood, singe exhaust, removing A/C,P/S, rubber hatch mat, AAS will be gone, although that doesnt really add any weight, maybe like 2lbs for the AAS control unit and the actuators on the top if the struts. GXLs arent all that much heavier, and the stuff that does weigh a little more is worth it to me (Sunroof, big brakes, LSD..)

Node 04-01-03 10:27 AM

i wonder which kinda of LSD weighs the least?
Clutch
Torsen
VLSD

I'd have to say Torsen would probably be the heaviest (all metal worm gears)

VLSD or Clutch? Anyone know?
clutch is better performance wise, just wears out (so will possibly be very worn on an FC)

Thats was part of my reasoning, awesome man. Hope it all goes well for you...

Mark'sMazda 04-01-03 11:30 AM

Ever think of Microtech? It's cheaper and IMO just as good as Haltech.

Rotary-Revolution 04-01-03 11:30 AM

If only I didnt used my turbo block for my ghia project I would convert my GTU...oh well mabey next year?

Good luck man.
