Turn Signal & Front Side Marker Wiring

Hi everyone,

I'm rewiring my front end and using round style turn signals. They have a only two wires coming from them: a positive and a ground.I noticed the OEM front turn signals have three wires. Black, Green/Red, and Green. I'm curious as to why there are three wires set up for the front turn signal and which wires I could be wiring together.

Also I want to have my side markers flash at the same time as my front turn signals. How would I go about wiring that and would I need any inline fuse or relay?

the USA market lights have two functions, so 3 wires. it uses a dual filament bulb (1157). there is a ground, turn signal and parking light wire.
the Japanese market has the same 3 wires, but the parking light is in the FTP instead of the turn signal.

So for a front end conversion using a bulb with only a positive and ground it's safe to say I would lose the parking light function?

I believe what you are trying to accomplish is very common (you want the light to illuminate with your headlights/parking light on AND you want it to flash indicating you are turning?).
This link is for a Miata, but the concept is the same, you're basically just connecting the turn signal wire and the parking light wire to the bulb, ignore the ground.

Oh sweet. This write up states that I should link my sidemarker ground with my turn signal wire acting as a "floating ground". When signaling the side marker and turn signal would go back and forth. Since I want both to flash at the same time would I wire my side marker power wire to my turn signal wire(green)?
