The only rearends that came with the 4.33 is the GTUs, are they compatible with a TII drive shaft and tranny?

Rxmfn7 05-28-03 02:12 PM

I think a J-spec Infini IV had a 4.33 R&P, but Im not certain. N/A ones are not compatable...

Icemark 05-28-03 03:18 PM

yeah, you are going to Japan for that one if you need used, or maybe someones blown up project car where they swapped the ring and pinion out

onefastrx7turbo 05-28-03 03:53 PM

Yea, infini's here in japan are the only ones i know of, stock anyhow

jon88se 05-28-03 04:13 PM

www.mazdatrix.com you can buy the ring and pinion you need, shouldn't take long or cost much with a reputable tranny shop provided you deliver them the rear already out of the car.

Good luck.

don't bother hunting a used one. I would by the ring and pinion and have it built like jon88se suggested.
maybe throw in a FD Torsen diff. unit while its apart;)

FCNAred 05-29-03 01:37 AM

thats funny, the FD guys go to an S4 Tii diff and people talk about putting the FD diff in a Tii

Rotary Dawg 05-29-03 04:44 AM

How much are u looking at? I have a Torsen + 4.3 rearend sitting in my living room doing nothing; both are from Mazdatrix, with only 7,000 miles on them.

benny 05-29-03 09:38 PM

Yes I would like to buy your rear end with torsen
send me an e-mail.
Thx

eh, depends on what application yer goin for. I guess for super high boost/high HP drag launches i prolly wouldn't want the stock Torsen unit of the FD but for autocross, road racin and track events that FD diff is a bad ass upgrade for the FC and a lot friggin cheaper than some of those aftermarket ones.

RotaryDawg, PM me with what yer lookin to get for yer setup.
