turbo ii counterweights and flywheel differences?

hello,
i am wondering what is required to use a turbo ii flywheel on a s4 na block. i read the threads on swaping a turbo ii drivetrain into a na s4, but i am still confused about the counterweights, and the flywheel issue.

if i bolt a turbo ii flywheel onto a s4 na block, which counterweights will i need?

NAD if anyone out there has any, are you willing to part with them???

thanks

easiest way to look at it is

The flywheels have built in counter weights. (thats why there are drill holes -to balance exactly)

weight of the rotors must match the front counter weight

the flywheel must match the front counter weight and thus the rotors

birds of a feather flock together. Keep them in the family and your safe

well, the problem is that i am changing "feathers" with the new flywheel from the turbo ii. also, this is a basic question, but say one buys a lightened flywheel from an aftermarket company... do you have to get it ballanced wit hthe whole rotating assembly???? also, i thought the turbo ii has a seperable rear counterweight, is this true?

does anyone have a spare counterweight for a turbo ii??

thanks

The aftermarket flywheels will come with the appropriate c-weight. If you cannot get the c-weight find an auto tranny c-weight from the same series and use that.

No, as Seshoumaru said, they are integrated into the flywheel.

Counterweight needs to match engine

S4 engine ---> flywheel from S4 (NA or TII)

S5 engine ---> flywheel from S5 (NA or TII)

Flywheel must match the transmission type

Turbo motor ---> NA transmission (NA flywheel/clutch)

NA motor -----> TII transmission (TII flywheel/clutch)

S4 TII motor
s5 NA tranny

use S4 NA flywheel/clutch

s5 NA motor
s4 TII tranny

S5 TII flywheel/clutch

post your setup and then we can tell you.
