Hey - Im swapping JP spec Turbo 13B with S5 trans into S4 shell - also lm keeping the S4 LSD - or so l think l will for now

Can anyone list things l need to complete the swap correctly ? - so l can be sure lm not missing anything ? (like S5 mounting plate for S4 shell - or Mazdatrix custom shaft that connects turbo 2 trans with S4 LSD ? )

(Im still not sure about the LSD - i know that l dont want the S5 type )

 

i did one years ago and the list would take me all day to write up(if i can even remember everything involved, it's not as simple as you would think), basically it depends on what you plan on accepting as not factory, like boost gauge/cluster and swapping out complete wiring harnesses, you can use an n/a harness if you do not plan to run emissions. personally i think it's easier to just use the correct harness for the engine if it wasn't chopped up.

you will need everything associated with the engine, ie pressure sensor, afm and ECU/wiring harnesses, there's even subtle differences in the clutch slave cylinder.

 

is the engine an S5? it depends a lot on what you start with and want to end up with.
also is the diff you have an NA diff or a turbo diff?

 

he mentioned the turbo to na adapter driveshaft so i assume he's only doing a half turbo swap.
