Tips for installing a duckbill wing on my t2?

My awesome girlfriend bought me a duckbill (sport) spoiler for my s4 t2. The bolt holes from the oem wing obviously does not line up. Would anyone like to share their tips for drilling new holes accurately?

I lined mine up using the 3rd brake light recess as the reference. Held it up to the car, used a sharpie to mark a crescent under each of the 4 bolts, then drilled accordingly.

I taped a piece of paper to the two areas where the bolts would go and then applied some lipstick to the bottom of the bolts then placed the spoiler into position and the lipstick made marks on the paper where the holes should go.

Yeah, lipstick or grease works really good.

If you look from the inside behind the carpet panel above the tails, you'll find dimples where to drill the holes. Take ALL the brain damage out of installing one of these in a Coup. Most easy if you remove the tails first.

Now, putting one of these on a Vert is a whole different challenge................

i put 2 thin metal brackets in the 3rd brake light to hold up the wing. i put sticky tact (the sticky stuff the holds up posters) on each thread and pressed the wing on the body. the sticky tact should come off and stick to the body and there will be a hole for you to drill in the center of the sticky tact. drill, install, look fly....

Sorry man, I guess it worked for me when I posted before and I forgot about it. If you still need it, I've uploaded the original picture.

I installed the wing and the corners are sticking up a little. One more so than the other. I even drilled the holes slightly to allow for some minor adjustment. It did not help. Any ideas of how to remedy the issue? I was thinking about some sort of foam tape or adhesive. I can press the edges of it down with my hand. I think it's warped?

My wing had 4 studs. Diagram @brettlinton7 posted shows a total of 6 studs. Good thing I looked before I leaped. Double checked and made adjustments via rtv on the studs. SAE measurements isn't the easiest.

Bingo. Maybe lay it out with some weight on that side for a while? Try some of the GOOD 3M double sided tape first!

Left the wing on the car and put a small cardboard box filled with hydraulic fittings on the glass/corner of the wing. Left heat on in garage all night. 14 hours later and it looks much better! Thank you! It must have been warped.
