There is no such thing.&nbsp All 10th Anniversary editions were built in 1988.&nbsp Be wary of someone claiming otherwise...

TurboSmoke 04-28-02 11:43 PM

diffrent rpm range a little diffrent motor

BadBoy 04-28-02 11:46 PM

yup a lot of little differences which makes up for being a more efficient motor than its earlier version.

plus the 87-88 is a lot more mechanical (cheaper to fix) while the 89-91 is a lot more electrical.

The only thing that went from mechanical to electrical was the oil metering pump.

All the changes are too numerous to mention. Power wise the Computer was upgraded from a 6 bit to a 8 bit computer, the Air flow meter was changed to a cone "push" type versus the flapper door. The turbine is different on the exhaust side with a different wastegate and manifold. The Rotor compression and weight also changed in the later models. I might catch some flack on this but I am almost positive that the port sizes changed to slightly larger ones on the later models as well.

I wonder what 10AE stands for...

:stickpoke

Anyone alive in there?

BoostedRotors 04-29-02 04:03 AM

It means he's an idiot. Mazda released the first RX-7 in 1978, and celebrated its 10th anniversary by releasing a special Anniversary Edition in 1988. So how could a '91 model be a 10AE?!
