PA Tail Lights / Parking Lights

<<88 Convertible, Stock>>

Hey hey,
I know, I know -- I searched.

They aren't working. My brake lights, hazards, turn signals, dash lights and reverse lights all work. My parking lights (front, tail, sidemarker, license plate) all do not work.

I searched and came up with: fuse, switch, or ground.

I checked the fuse -- it (Illumination) was blown. I replaced it, nothing changed at all. I checked the grounds, they appear to be fine. I tried jumping the wires off the light switch harness to eachother to get the parking lights to light -- nothing. All the others worked, but I can not get anything to make the parking lights light up. From what I gather, they share the same bulb as the brake lights so they aren't blown, or am I mistaken? (and what would blow like 10 light bulbs at once anyways?)

This happened this morning, I went to go to work (I usually drive w/ my parking lights on) and I noticed the parking lights weren't lit up. I investigated after work and here I sit. Stumped. No changes to any sort of wiring or anything were done, they were working the night before and then just decided they didn't feel like working this morning.

Thanks in advance,
Eric

you replaced the Illumination Fuse..Try replacing the Fuse that is Down 2.(Room Fuse. 7.5 amp.)..also another Fuse Down 2..same row of Fuses.(Stop Fuse 20 amp)...also have you tried to swap out the Flasher CPU(small black box, driver's side on the Kick panel..by the fuse Box)?

I checked "Room Fuse 7.5amp", and it was good. I can't recall if I checked the "Stop Fuse 20amp" or not. I didn't think they affected parking lights, I'll give it a shot. Then again, as I am typing this I realized that sometimes fuses can look okay and be bad so I'll still give it a shot.

The light switch is kaput if the fuses are goodl

Do a Search using as a name ICEMARK and the item as LIGHT SWITCH.

https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...0&d=1205840579

Or look at the diagram above and you can see if you jumper the white/green wire to the red/black wire the tail lights, side lights etc should light up. If they do, the small light harness is bad or the switch is bad. You can figure out which.

Or if you simply page down to the bottom of this page, there is a list of similar problems. Look at them and ......read.
