t2 reliability?

other than oil changes, what needs to be done on a t2 with a newly rebuilt engine to keep everything running nicly?

During breakin, stay off boost.

Do not let if overheat.

Add an after market mechanical boost gauge. I got a sunpro from Pep Boys for $16.
After breakin, if you see boost creep (like from an open exhaust), port the wastegate.

If the car still has the OEM exhaust on it, replace the catalytic converters if they have high milage on them. If you REALLY want to confirm they're clogged, an exhaust shop can check backpressure on them.

Also eliminating the pre-cat with a downpipe is a good idea.
