swap questions

Ok i have a couple questions about my turbo swap im about to start, hope someone can help.

1. ok so i have my swap that i ordered from tigarimports, before i install it i would like to perfomed a compression test and figure out if its actually any good?? is this possible??

2. Is there anything else i should do before installing my swap?

3. I havent received my exhaust system yet so would it be safe to run the car without any exhaust at all?

Mount a bellhousing to the engine, install starter, add power.

-Read this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/s4-na-turbo-swap-details-813825/
-Think about cleaning up and possibly painting the engine bay
-Replacing the front suspension bushings is much easier when you can drop the whole subframe at once, and dropping the subframe is much easier with the engine out
-Go over all your wiring

No exhaust at all? I wouldn't do it for more than a few seconds (considering the exhaust outlet of the turbo is aimed at the firewall), Just a downpipe is good to go though (functionally at least, your hearing will suffer).
