Supras Vs. Rx7's

Can you guys explain to me the difference between the older supras and the 2nd gen rx7's??
I mean horsepower is higher in the Turbo Supra modles and they are a little larger and heavier but lets say someone doing research into both cars was considering both cars what would make a perosn buy a 200hp TII over a 240 hp Supra turbo?
Beleive me i am a loyal Rx7 fan but the reason im asking is my best freind is insiting on buying a Supra cuz he only sees the hp advantage he keeps tellin me hes gonna kick my ass wit his supra and i beleive him cuz of the huge hp defference. I have an 88 N/A and I LOVE IT but i cant seem to convince him to get an rx7 cuz he thinks theyd be too slow

Lemmie know your opinios -THANKS! :D

Max HP isnt all that matters. If 2nd gens did not handle good and couldnt make any power, would there really be this much interest in them? There is much much greater interest in turboII's than MVIII supra turbos.

Well, if it's his MkIII Supra Turbo vs. your N/A 7, he's right - he'll wipe the floor with you :D

The TII is IIRC slightly faster stock than the MkIII-T, but has much more aftermarket support. The RX-7 has more "cheap" mods available. Fact is, speed costs money, and whoever has the most money will have the most speed.

Not to mention that the RX-7 looks better, handles better, is smaller and more tossable, is cheaper, etc.

Its all about a tight handling
small sharp ass car!!!
Fuck flying down a straight line or
road. its how smooth you can hit the turns
also ( i dont know much about this)but drive tran
and hp/weight ratio.
i would way rather have an rx-7 even if its slower
at first its better handling bottom line

I have beaten a guy I know in his MKIII Turbo. I almost bought one, but the used car dealership caught on fire before I could buy it. I take it as a sign from God;) Supra's are gross, heavy, poor handling cars IMO.

Surprisingly I do see a far share of them In T.O whipping around. I've driven one with great dissapointment. Does not nearly handle as well as an FC.
