Stub shaft removal

So I've been trying to remove the passenger side stub axle on an s5 TII diff, to no avail. Tried a screw driver through the housing, tried a 2' breaker bar between the stub axle and the housing, all without results It slides in/out the normal 1/4", but after that no go. Am I missing something or did Jesus pound this in? Drivers pops out easy enough, the next step is heat but I feel that will do nothing as well. HALP?

I think I got them out by hammering a chisel in the crack.

prybar between the diff case and the axle.

the axle is held in by a spring c-clip only but over time it bites in pretty hard and can take a bit of leverage to pop them out.

I used a punch/5lb min sledge through the diff as my 2' breaker/pry bar was doing nothing. The culprit was a damaged c-clip that was bent outwards slightly, managed to take a nice chunk out of the stub shaft.

sometimes you have to tap the stub inward toward the diff and walk it back and forth if it is being stubborn.

I gave this thing hell before using the punch. In/out, 2 pry bars at the same time, ridiculous. Does anyone know, if some up/down/left/right play normal for the stub shafts to have? It's minimal, maybe .01 or so at the flange. This is on a Kaaz BTW.

Sometimes it helps to use a prybar on one side with light pressure then one on the other side with a snapping force. Makes the force more strait out and less to the side.
