Stock Spring rates.

Hello,

Does anybody knows the stock spring rates on the second gen convertible RX7??

I think they are progressive, but I do not know the rating.

I need them to compare them to the new ones I will install.

Thanks!

They are linear from the factory.

As per the Mazda performance handbook - 95 front 90 rear for the coupe stock.
If you go by racing beat's math the vert is ~115 front and 107 rear, though I suspect it was somewhat softer.

In Lb/In

Which springs are you going to install?

Thinking about ground control springs.

I just do not know what I have so I can decide what to select

Previous owner said that they were RX7 progressive springs from a convertible.... so I do not know if he was wrong or what....

Thanks!

Ground control is good stuff, and they have awesome support, once you know what springs you have you can call them and talk to them about what your plans are and they can help sort you out.

Post up a photo of the springs if you're unsure, I'm sure someone/I can help Identify the brand.
If they are really progressive then they're not factory. But that doesn't mean the p.o. didn't pull them off of a 'vert.
