i put in a full stereo about 8-months ago... i put in these 2 infinity 5 1/4" speakers in the doors and wired them to the stock wires... they worked when i put them in i think???i remember testing them i think... but now i was curious y my stereo wasn't that loud and i took the door panels off and they weren't doing ne thing when i played music??? wat do u think it is/... i know they aren't not blown because i do not play music that loud and im not sure if wiring is bad so ne suggestions would be greatly appreciated

make sure wires are connected properly to the back of the headunit

my subs cut out once and a while because my connectors are loose

you should check to see that they arent grounding out or check to make sure they arent out of phase. check your wiring and check to make sure your radio settings are set accordingly.

wat do u mean out of phase? i checked my radio settings and i dont know im positive there right so ya... where can i get the keys for my deck... i have a dash kit and requires these 2 keys to get them out... its for an pioneer deh-6800p.. ne one kn0w where to get keys

the keys come with the deck you purchased. you can go up to a best buy and talk to a car stereo installer and ask if they have any extra sets laying around. if you want to wait a few days i can ship you a set free of charge.

sorry to thread jack but i was just about to post a question about the size of the door speakers........i guess i have my answer!!!

Did you remember to bypass the stock amplifier for the door speakers located behind the passenger side knee bolster?

If not, two ways to do it. One: rewire. Rewiring is ridiculous. Two: Disconnect both connectors from the amplifier, connect together.

i have the pioneer keys if you need them. you can probably make something equivelent. i can post a pic of them if you need

you dont have to use a key to get to the headunit
lol you can go the road i went and take out the whole panel..
-take off shifter surrounding
- pull ashtray out and remove 2 screws behind it
-remove heating vents and remove 2 screws behind it
-wiggle panel off and tada you can get to the back of the headunit(removing shiftknob as well will make it a hell of a lot easier)
