I had pace setters on my a GXL that was my first RX7. I loved it, great sound when opened up but nice and mellow otherwise.

magus2222 04-03-08 09:30 PM

scrappyfc 04-09-08 05:58 PM

i got a set of these recently, have cat gutted and just waitin for a gasket before i get to hear that sweet sound.
anyone here have soundclips of this setup on youtube?

RotaryWeaponSE7EN 04-09-08 08:06 PM

Use to have one, was happy with it while it lasted.

Molotovman 04-09-08 09:09 PM

I had a Pace Setter, then a motoria presiliencer and catback. It was deafening, I had to have a cat put in for emissions, and I put the silencers in the muffler. It sounds good now!

bboyclo 04-10-08 11:49 PM

hey runcrappy does your actuators work? cuz mine dont for some reason

Delicious 04-11-08 12:26 AM

no, i think its either this crack in my cat, or my actuator gaskets.... but i gottem zip tied open, im gonna make gasketswhen i get around to it....

flashlight 04-11-08 11:36 AM

sweet i want to get some headers but heard that pacesetters dont last nearly as long as racingbeat because of cheaper materials. but idk if i should get one:wallbash: im trying not to spend too much $ on it but dont want it to rust out. so did you knotice any hp gain?

bboyclo 04-11-08 12:42 PM

hey some one is selling a racing beat header for cheap https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=745821

pfsantos 04-11-08 01:02 PM

Have a Pacesetter header for about 10 years, only driven in winter one year. Some surface rust, but alright, since the material is pretty thick.

The Pacesetter cat-back is crap in terms of fir (or at least was) - returned it after a couple of hours screwing with it to fit. Got a Dynomax instead (on a budget as always). This was a few years ago.

You may need to rig up your 6PI system another way on S4's (see archives, FAQ, etc.)

rotarygod 04-11-08 01:27 PM

I've had a Pacesetter header for about 10 years now with no issues.

Omixeo 04-11-08 01:49 PM

RB header, test pipe and corksport catback = Loudest thing ever :D.

TripGreeley 04-11-08 02:37 PM

Who has the link for the write up about converting the 6PI from S4 to S5? I want to switch over before I install my exhaust

yeah big hp gain kinda, the difference between PS and RB headers is maybe 1-2 HP at the most, if even that... power wise that is
