Topic cleaned of leg humpers. She's a girl. Get over it.

Also, please keep this on-topic. If you would like to discuss Sevenstock or anything else please take it to the appropriate forum or PMs.

No flaming either. We've had enough "sleepy eyes suck!" topics already.

jgrts20 04-09-06 10:07 PM

thats different, still debating on how good they line up right in that configuration though.

iceblue 04-09-06 10:30 PM

lol leg humping pruning already.

Use a relay and a momentary button. This will keep your switch from being burned up possibly and give you pressure sensitive control.

RXTCs5 04-10-06 02:04 AM

were did you get those dual halo's from?

elnots 04-10-06 08:55 AM

dude those are nice headlights! Rx7girl could you pleeease post up a how-to guide on how you did the replacement? And how you stabilized the headlights in the housings to avoid vibration and other movement?

I'm not going to do the sleepy eye mod but I love the dual headlight set up you have.

Rotary_Knight 04-10-06 10:14 AM

haha I did the sleepy eye mod to but for free! Cause I'm a cheap a$$ I just unplugged the motors.

GodSquadMandrake 04-10-06 10:15 AM

That looks freaking sweet like lemans style or something. If you put a glass cover over it that would totally top it off. Really original.

DragonRx7 04-10-06 11:45 AM

Wouldn't having them in that setup defeat the purpose of the sleepy eye? Or is the sleepy eye just for when they're turned off?

RXsevenT2 04-10-06 01:02 PM

looks good! I'd like to see that in person...

nukeall 04-10-06 01:05 PM

looks like Bmw halo's :/

I'm more interested in the fitment of the halo's in the headlight cover rather than the wires under the dash.

Post some pictures of your headlights and I'll give you my personal critique since you want it so badly..

13bturbofc 04-10-06 02:36 PM

http://picture41.jpg http://picture58.jpg heres my angel eye headlights on my 88 vert me and a buddy made these from a set of third gen halos about 30 hours of sanding fiberglass and heres the end result what do u think? before the halos and t2 hood and after.... thats also my 87 turbo 2 in the one pic sorry about the shitty quality pics. ive never tried to put pics on here so it might not work

i am sorry you were treated like that. but it does look a little out in the open. i spent almost all my day today hiding wires and rapping them and tucking them
one thing is. that i couldnt run everything threw the rubber in the fire wall. it was already in use by alot of wires.

it looks like you ran it from the fuse. meaning your lights wont come on when your fuse is switched off.
i know its stupid to have them sleepy eye at night and try to drive with it like that. but only half way down does not effect the shine of the light.

so. it sux you cant have your lights on and sleepy too

87rx7girl 04-10-06 06:18 PM

one switch for amp. one for headlight motors
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...00550Small.jpg
switches for halos that came in wireing kit.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...00549Small.jpg
my handy work of only being able to pass so much threw the fire wall rubber plug.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...00548Small.jpg
wires i should rap together
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...00547Small.jpg

87rx7girl 04-10-06 06:21 PM

mess i need to cut shorter and wrap, fuses, and relay
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...00546Small.jpg
quite a few pos wires i merged together and wrapped and hooked up
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...00545Small.jpg
the wireing harnnes for the 2 lights. needs to be wrapped befor i finish it all up. also i need to zip tie alot more to finalize
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...00544Small.jpg
TADA
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...k/Image000.jpg

so. my job isnt to ghetto. i spent alot of time and thinking and planning
the switches on my dash will be re-located when i custom the dash. i just threw them where ever for the time being

I'm not tryin to bag on you or anything so I hope you not taking it that way...I give you props...but have you or anyone ever really drove around with them sleepy at night?? I do it all the time and I can see everything with no problems...touge,street everything, but I dont have the FTP lense in so that helps alot....now I have fog lights which help a great deal but even without them its very easy to see with them down at night! and no when my lights are on there sleepy, when there off there sleepy. The switch that goes to the console is to the fuse which cuts the power to the motor and makes it to I can make it sleepy or not sleepy at 5 diff angles....and Like i said you cant see anything normaly I pulled everything out so yall can see:icon16:. Did you get both halos to work yet ?

ya . no problems here! other then my alternator dieing so i can idle well. hehehe. good thing i know how to toe heal!!
but yes.. on an fc you can see if you have the sleepy eyes half way. but not much if you lower them more then half.

i know on a 240 its alot worce.

due to the fact our headlights dont angle down when we close our lids. they still point forward. we have the advantige to do the sleepy eye and not effect the light shine

DriftingB26RX7 04-10-06 06:54 PM

yeah we have it a little better...I drive sleepy eye all day all night...more than half way and when I get pulled over I just flip the switch they go up then back down just like stock :)
this is what they look like all the time and I can see EVERYTHING its cool...alot of people dont thought they always say "your headlights are broken" yeah thanks..lol
