i did it. i finaly did it. i tapped into the power suply to the motors. i splied them. ran a wire to a switch from both lid motors to my dash. ran it back. and now i can have them sleepy eye and have lights on. .
need more light?
flip the switch to on. and you'll have your lights fully exposed.

unfortunatly. lone halo ring is out.
so i have to wait to get another one in the mail befor i can continue and weld a custom bracket for the 2.

what does the switch look like? how does this work

oh man its so easy you dont know..............its awesome to fine out howto do something for 10 bucks rather than spending 60 on it. Good job can I see some more pics??

cut circut of power to motor by turning off the switch
flip your lights to the up position. they will not move cuz circut is broken
then tap the switch on then off. it will raise them a few. (i could have bought a button but didnt see one)
now i can have headlights on and lights half way up. unlike just pulling the fuse and not having lights.

to raise lights all the way. flip switch to on. they will raise all the way.

i will be making a full post on how exactly to do the sleepy eyes. and how to weld the frame and hook up the dual headlights

i just didnt do it today cuz i was to exhausted and didnt feel like getting the cam and making it dirty hehe..
i didnt know what i was doing half the time. i was just doing it not thinking. like usual.

its pritty clean so far.

Ahaha, interesting way to do it. :) You could also wire up another switch to one of the motors and break it's power so you could make your car wink. :lol:

oh...hehe got it. yeah thats easy, i thought you did it like the sleepy eye pivot, but its all good. How bout some pics with you and your car. ;) girls with RX7's are hott

What type of switch did you use. The push button ones, or the flip ones?

a push one would probly be better. but i have a lil flip switch.

check your PM ;)

a potentiometer does it without having to play the flip switch game everytime you want to raise the lights..

but my mod was free.
well. 3$ for switch

$1.75 for a pot.. and it keeps the OEM light switch; you drop the pot inline, set your height and your done.. regardless, good job.. better then allot of attempts made here in the past..

when's the next seven stock? btw nice mod. I'm keeping my headlights stock but the halo ring headlights are an intriquing idea. Do you have them in now or are you putting them in later?

well, that's more along the lines of preference

toggle switches look kind of ghetto and you have to time it with the movement of the headlights

but the pivot controller looks clean and has a knob with which you can adjust the angle without having to do anything other then operate the headlight switch as you always do..

but i sure as hell wouldn't pay over 50 for one :o:
