I will post mine a little later, hey Theory is that a DNA muffler? Summitracing sells those I was wondering how it sounds, I was thinking about putting one of those inline before my magnaflow to quiet it down

Yeah it is a DNA, it is louder then my stock duals I had on previously. It has a deeper tone, I haven't heard anything else like it. It was weird at first but it definetly grew on me, I love it now.

876portturbo 01-06-07 01:44 PM

Thats cool, thanks for the info, I think I'll purchase it soon

You may want to be careful about those, they are fiberglass packed, so the rotary exhaust heat will burn it rather quick, after that they will be loud.

TehMonkay 01-06-07 07:08 PM

I have a greddy muffler coming straight out, i will get pics tommorow. Looks good except the dent in it >:(

Borla stainless duals, unfortunately something fell off a truck and ruined part of my Y-pipe so they dont line up right anymore. Gotta get it fixed. Sound amazing, deep an full without any raspyness at all. True quality. Look failrly stock to most people, other than the inner sleeves on the tips and the full stainless construction, so no ricer attention.

I bought the same ones... They are pretty loud when you remove the silencers and just a little louder than factory with the silencers in... I have driven with them about 1500 to 2000 miles and they still sound exactly the same... I attached pics of them...

It is for my N/A. I believe this is the part number from the DNA site: 1021-2

Here's a couple pictures of these mufflers installed on a mustang. You can see they are the same direction. Those marks are from the internal sound diffusers.

What paint is on that Aaron? Please let us know how it's doing? I like the dual gun dual tip. I'm on the fence about the tips being upward.

FuriousComet 01-08-07 06:52 AM

Bounter very clean 7. one question, why do you have two antennas? To me it looks funny.

riverzendz 01-08-07 07:06 AM

Ok.

First FC - Apexi N1 duals with RB header and RB pre-silencer. I've not heard a louder system.
http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m.../87na/RX71.jpg

Second FC - GReddy PE, stock DP and "cleaned" cat. Sound was decent.
http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...7/IMG_0002.jpg

Third FC - Racing Beat DP, pre-silencer, and catback. Sounds good. Apexi N1 duals lying in basement ready to be installed.

The paint is POR-20. It's holding up fine, but is a bit softer then I would have expected and the brush strokes really show. Other then that it seems to do the job nicely.

A lot of people are on the fence about the "DTM" tips now that every 2nd Honda runs them. But I've had those mufflers since early 1999, long before they were common. And while they're a little loud, they sound great.

Aaron...the thing that turned me onto them was watching the old Alfa 155 DTM car with the quad DTM exhaust. Looked so incredibly bad ass (not too mention the sound). Then, like you said, they began to appear on every other Civic on the street.

here's mine, it's just that i have a broken hanger underneat so they hanging low and lopsided, sorry, but these are supposed to be N1 mufflers, llok like 4 inch tips, i have racing beat downpipe and straight 3" to these. I am seriously considering buying something a little less "buzzy", but i don't know i have a small exhaust leak anyways by the downpipe, don't we all.....It does sound nice at 4,000rpms though that is the highest i have had my car due to breaking in new motor.....
