S5 Vacuum Help, Much Better Pics this time.....

2 Attachment(s)
Ok, I made this post last night but it seemed to confuse everyone, so this time instead of borrowing pics of other peoples car at 3 in the morning I actually got off my ass and took pics of my car. There was also confusion between S4 and S5 which I thought was interesting cause both pics provided were S5s. So to clear things up, this is an S5!

Anyways, First Pic is of the T I have (circled in red), the T has 2 ends with line on it and one end capped, one of the lines comes almost directly out of a check valve, you can see it in the pic. I was curious if you other S5 owners have this T and if the 3rd end is capped if you do.

Second pic is of a large vacuum line coming out of the dynamic chamber (circled in green), this line went into a valve of some sort that was bolted to the intake manifold but it is removed. The valve also had an electrical plug and another large vacuum line coming out of it and it goes under the dynamic chamber and out of sight (circled in blue). I want to know what valve this is as it doesn't seem to be labeled in the FSM. my guess is the AWS solenoid but according to the FSM that should be located in behind by the firewall, not on the side.

I hope this is alot more helpful than the half ass post i made yesterday.

It's the purge relief or similar, it's basically used in your crankcase vent system. You can plug it up and then route the purge to the intake duct, or get a catch can/breather filter. Up to you.

The first pic looks like the line that controls the secondary throttle plates, IIRC the T used to go to the cruise control actuator, but it's hard to say from memory.

Have you even looked at the vacuum diagram FOR S5 provided in your other thread ?

Sometimes, if the poster does not clearly state the S4/S5 denomination, you just give both answers for reference purposes for other pple that may do a search and get to that thread.

I give it again here. It was posted by MARLAMAN a while back.
That's the S5 stock setup. Very clear.

And you are clearly asking if your setup looks like it is stock, so it is very appropriate to provide a pic of the stock setup diagram.
