Post a picture of the factory service manual page with the part in question highlighted.

I doubt a car that makes 215 hp in it's stock form would have any need for a scatter shield..so NO.

i called a scattershield cause thats what it lioks like, but what about a metal gasket?

kidS4 10-13-13 09:14 AM

after looking at the fsm it doesnt show a shield or any kind of bigger gasket that goes between the two, maybe its for a 12a, it was a spare part that came with my shell, not my motot

A scattershield goes around the bell housing, not between it.

Maybe it is an adapter for another type of transmission?
