s5 richness adjsutment
I know in my s4 there is a screw in front of the shock tower to adjsut the mixture. is there anything similar on the s5?

No-Contolled by the computer. If you state the problem you're experiencing I'm certain you'll receive some feedback. Rich at Idle, under load etc. They have a tendency to run on the rich side, just the nature of the rotary.

I have Running rich problem also in my 10AE. I idle really rich at startup, but not as rich once warmed up and driving around. When idling cold, theres literally fuel comming out of my exhaust. Could someone help me the adjustment for this? thanks.

10th anny is series 4 which means you have the idle adjust screw ... mess with that and your tps and MAYBE check timing to be sure its good .. might help a wee bit |

i personally dont have instructions, but i used this forum to find all the answers to my quesitons search up "setting TPS" you'll find EVERYTHING you need ... TRUST ME :D hope that helps |

The variable resistor on S4's is for idle mixture only. There is no way to adjust any mixtures on S5's.
What are you trying to achieve here? |

How do you know you're running rich? And please don't say it's because the idle smells like fuel...

hows like... 9mpg and charcoal black plugs after brand new ones had only been in there 24 hrs

The ECU doesn't just start running rich mixtures unless something causes it too. Something is obviously broken or malfunctioning, and even if there was an eay way to lean out the mixtures (which there isn't) all you'd be doing is masking a symptom, not fixing the cause.

Are you running rich or lean? Why do you think you need to adjust the A/F ratio?
On the S5, invest in a variable fuel pressure regulator and adjust. Reference the FSM for proper fuel PSI. If that doesn't work well enough for you, then you'll have to invest in a piggyback fuel computer. |
Didn't you read what I said? That car obviously has something wrong with it. You don't use expensive mods to band-aid your way around something that's not working properly, that's just bad advice.
The FPR suggestion jogged my memory though. Check to see the FPR is getting a proper vac sgnal, and/or measure the fuel pressure to see if it's within spec. If the FPR isn't getting a vac signal (e.g. broken vac line) then all non-WOT mixtures will be very rich. |
