s13? or FC?

i have a basic question to ask in my situation, i'll have about like 3g's, and was wondering if i would buy a 2nd gen NA FC, and maybe either tII swap or build an NA, or a s13 with a fully built KA or SR swap , the car would be a daily driver, and a college student, next fall, any ideas would help, tkx..

:)

uhmm i think you should by the s13?? (note, that was sarcasm)

FC all the way!!

imo! if you wanna do a TII Swap into an N/A look for a car with either no engine or a blown engine??

Well having autocrossed both extensively, I would say that if you want a good autocross car, go ahead and get the FC, it just feels better to me. (and this is coming from a guy who owns a highly modified S13 w/SR swap)

However, if you want to get into drifting the S13 is a much better choice...

Buy a TII if you are planning to build the car. You beter know a lot about the car, and understand the problems it will have, or it will just suck your money; S13 or FC3s, its a old car.
But hey, this is RX7CLUB.com. What kinda response are you going to expect here?

s13's are a lot cheaper to maintain and more power potential ( if thas how u spell it ). it's preference, all in ur preference man.

As far as drifting go, i think they're both great cars for it.

Get the S13. the interior is better, its more reliable. The FC handles better, but the S13 can be made to handle the same with money.

wtf is the S13?

You're not going to be able to get an S13 with an SR20DET in it for $3k. The price of those engines has gone up in the past year or two quite a bit as the swap has gained such popularity, and seems like it's going to continue. The front clips are around $2500 now I believe? Well you won't be able to find a $500 car that won't need a lot of work. Personally, I think the FC is more cost effective. You get more with the car aside from the engine. Better suspension, better brakes, etc. You have to spend money on the 240 to make it handle as well as the FC does stock. You'll probably get a lot better gas mileage in the 240 though. ;)
