As a side note, I was told to never to use an SAFC to tune a turbo rotary.. [I have one in my NA though] |
Read the directions that come with the S-AFC, all the information is there. The directions are available in pdf form from Apexi website.
I ran an S-AFC on my T2 for 3 years without issue(making around 290whp) |
SAFC will get the job done on a lot of basoc setups, but it really is oldschool and it produces unpredictable ignition timing under boost. Rtek 2.1 is a better choice.

Get a wideband first!
The SAFC will work but it is pretty basic. |
awesome thanks guys!!!
and i have 2 widebands :P! hahaha so it wont be bad with my turbo 2 motor??? or will it??! i need more info thanks guys:)! |
If you're running less than 9 lbs of boost and generally stock otherwise, SAFC is ok. More boost and the timing disconnect will be an issue.
In truth, a SAFC is more for NA's than Turbo's. That said, I'm running a SAFC II with my S4 TurboVert with only mods a RB REV II exhaust, Fuel Cut Controller, and Boost Controller (A switch set at 7 lbs, B set to 9 lbs). S5 Tiurbo. Putting down about 200 whp. |
