Rotor shaped key.

I recently lost a set of keys and my rx7 key was on that set. i have another set of keys with all my keys on it, what i wanna find out is if i can just go to a hardware store and ask them to cut me a key using the other key i have. would i have to go to a dealer or something for this? hopefully not and while i was at it i found this

http://www.rotary13b1.com/p/1070/RX-...88---1992.html

does anyone know if this is a legit site? i wanna buy this and get this key cut

thanks for the help

Yes the hardware store will be able to cut it. I saw those rotor keys being sold on here a while back, so I think they are legit. The only thing I remember hearing about them is the rotor part would come a little loose from the key part once in a while.

This Site is legit, I have those keys from them, bought them at DGRR2008. Hardware store didn't cut it right the first time, I took them to a Locksmith, they cut them perfect.

Got mine no problem and had it cut by the local locksmith. He cut a practice key first off of the original to make sure it would work and then cut the rotor key.

I've been meaning to pick up one of those for a while but I must be a cheapass cuz 20 bucks seems a bit high for a blank key with a rotor shaped end. :o

I can vouch for the loose base, it feels on mine like the blade part with the actual teeth can wiggle back and forth, I keep thinking it's going to break off if I have to open the hatch or something. Feels very loose, and on mine the chrome came off one side of the rotor, but that may be because I keep my keys in my pocket and the other keys rub against it.
Still love it and haven't reverted back to my stock key yet.
