Hello everyone. I am the proud owner of a 79 RX-7, but recently came into some luck and purchased a 74 REPU and a motor and tranny out of a 90 RX-7. I am pretty familiar with the first generation motors and systems, but I have never worked on anything fuel injected or newer than 1983. My plan is to pull the 22R out of the REPU (yeah, some idiot put a 22R in this truck) and swap in the 13B. I will link a picture of motor and pieces below. Can you guys give me some pointers on what to look out for? Apparently the motor was rebuilt two years ago, but the owner decided to swap in a turbo motor and that is why he sold this one. He's a regular at my work and a professional mechanic, so I trust that it is in working order. I just don't know where to start and what to look out for. Any and all advice is welcome and greatly appreciated!

One other thing - is there anywhere else besides eBay to get a new gasket set? $200 seems a bit steep, but maybe that's just what newer sets go for. Thanks!

I'll keep updating as I go. I will need new motor mounts in order to drop in the 13B. I will also need a custom drive shaft made. Hopefully the money I get for the 22R will be enough to do both. Any idea what I should ask for a 22R with 20R head, tranny, and carb?
