Redom Re Amemiya Ecu

im thinking of buying this ecu i was wondering if anybody has any experience with it. im going to have a fmic, full racing beat exhaust, hks intake. any opinions would be good. thanks

How much does it cost? If it's more than $500, I say save up for standalone EMS, it's a hell of a lot better than a pre-mapped ECU.

fc3sturboII 05-16-05 12:53 AM

300 bucks

I was also thinking about getting an ECU like that. do you need to run any other fuel controllers or anthing else like that?

Fricken waste of money...
Be a man and support the RTEK guys at least...
I think it's cheaper!

can you even tune the redom? i always thought it was preset maps, if so, get a piggy back for the same cost, and alot more function. check out emanage's or safc's or fuck, get a stand alone.

don't buy stuff off ebay and expect it to protect your engine

boostaddictB89 06-01-12 02:39 PM

now i found a s4 v.2 r tek for sale. but i have a s5. will it be compatable?if not , why?

Derekcat 06-02-12 12:55 AM

Nope.. Different connectors, different software.

boostaddictB89 11-27-12 11:32 AM

Well I had picked up a JDM Redom ecu , B-type If I'm not mistaken . Someone told me that there are two pins on the USDM S5 ecu that need to be changed to properly work with the JDM T2 Redom ecu?

If someone could shine some insight in on this that would be wonderful bc I would like to use this ecu hoping to make more power than my HKS F-Con piggy back system I'm using now .

nope, you can try plugging it in, but you'll need a hammer
