rebuild kits

Is it necessary to get that thermal pellet replacement part that flows oil all the time, or is that for higher powered engines?

That's for reliabilities' sake. The thermal pellet goes bad, a bypass unit doesn't/can't.

its not required, but there only $10. that could save you alot down the road. if the original fails then it could burn up your rear rotor bearing.

alright cool. Would there be any oil pressure changes that should be cooped with when doing this? Right now i am rebuilding my turboed n/a. Also how would i safely disable the boost for the breakin period or do i just stay under 3000 rpms?

felixwankel88 07-11-05 09:08 AM

i used a arkins pellet in my rebuiild, i also rev it to 4000 and a acconically(very bad spelling) 4500..

Houstonderk 07-11-05 09:33 AM

Is there another place that has that thermal pellet? Adkins rotary keeps sending me to a link that doesn't work when paying.

Houstonderk 07-11-05 09:52 AM

Hey i just read that you can use a .400 spacer and remove the piston on it to disable it. Has anyone heard of this?

1987RX7guy 07-11-05 10:13 AM

I believe SMP has them too.
