Rear Wings

Where can I find a rear wing with the correct mounting brackets to fit a 1988 Mazda RX7 TII? Been looking all over and cant seem to find a place. Any suggestions?

Buy an OEM wing and stop wasting your time with ricer shops.

Now, I'm usually pretty quick with expressing my opinion about somthing I don't like, but I realized that maybe we should just keep our opinions to ourselves: he just asked a question, all he needs is a straight answer. I'd help you out, but I really don't know. Do a quick search and you should find somthing.

BTW, RX7guy is totally right... sorry! OMG, I just saw your flames... must... be... polite... HRGMF!!

Please Help.....

I posted earlier....with no response. I have searched a million web sites looking for a rear wing that fit my RX7. Anyone know where I can find one? That fits?

You need to have some patience, we are not here to answer peoples questions on a moments notice. The time from this thread to your original one is only an hour, you DID NOT need to make a new thread about it.

You will likely need to fabricate/modify the brackets to the wing you want. The FC hatch area is very limited space-wise and is not very flat. The FC is 15+ years old, waaaaaay long before the 'wing/body kit' craze came on, so most likely there are no manufacturers that make a direct fit wing.

With the cheesy graphics and the neon lights... he's right... it'll Saturday-night-fever-disco-dance circles around you.

Jager 11-17-05 02:28 PM

I can't beleive you bought a pacesetter cat-back...

But good luck on your endeavor.

MattB 11-17-05 02:39 PM

fast...but ugly in my opinion...but im all about keeping it looking stock, maybe a little body modification...but no big WINGS...or body kits...and that paint......

......eww...

get rid of the flames, paint it back to red, and your good to go...

Please only start one thread on a subject, Your threads have been merged.

there are only about 10 or 20 different rear spoilers for the FC, however if you want to pretend that you are a pilot and get a big alumimum ricer wing there are about 20 or 30 of those available for junior 747 pilots at almost every aftermarket supplier.

sooo... you have a timeslip for this 12.2 sec @ 168 or a dyno for that, also i will put money down that your car is over 1865 lbs
as for wings doesnt RE make one?
EDIT: why yes they do. Corksport even has them. http://corksport.com/store/category/...-exterior.html

I've always kinda liked mariah motorsports mode 5 rear wing. other than that, oem only.

12.2 @ 168...lol.

Sorry about that. You could try and get some brackets made that work like the GTII wing. I'm sure a fab shop should be able to make something that will follow the contours of the 7, and still bolt up to your wing.

FWIW: There was a major wreck around my way. A couple of guys were racing down the freeway. IIRC, it was very early Sunday morning. Well, the turbo civic apparently lost traction to the rear wheels at about 140mph. He flipped a few times and obviously totaled his well built car. Now I'm not advocating a HUGE ricer wing, but if he would have had "something" to help with his lack of downforce, he might still have his car.

i swear, if someone wants your opinion, theyll ask. Who cares if someone wants to rice out there 7, its not yours is it? so answer the question, or shut up

You already have a rear wing. You're not going to find one that looks better than that.

1987RX7guy 11-17-05 04:42 PM

And BTW 12.2 and 168? wtf

People have posted videos of their FDs doing mid ten second passes and trapping 30mph slower wtf.

Um people dont need to be going 140 fucking miles an hour down the freeway in the first place. This guy can do whatever he wants to his 7 (sadly) its his god given right, just as its our given right to heckle him for his silly decisions. I smell alot of BS tough, all those subs and neons and rimz etc. must have added like 500hp. "You never had your car" :MissileSm

Your right, he doesn't have any business doign 140 on a freeway.

But that doesn't solve his (the civic guy) downforce problem. In Goliad TX, there is a place called the Texas Mile. I'm sure there are a couple of faster cars that need wings.
