change absorbers 3 months ago and since then is wrong, I have traction problems and walked almost 1 month with 2 broken rear shocks

I have damaged something??

this terrible car handling

Help

sodara 01-17-11 11:15 AM

take some pictures? difficult to understand...

what are your wheels and tires?
what are your modifications?

K-Tune 01-17-11 11:27 AM

Take your car to a mechanic and have them inspect the rear suspension components. It may also need an alignment.

Nobody here can guess what's wrong with your car.

meteoro 01-17-11 11:52 AM

ok,

tires in rear 215/60/ 15"
tires in front 195/60/ 15"

mods in the engine: completly stock, cone air filter k&n, ground kit, E-fan

the shock absorber in rear is really hard, but the spring´s is my dude...

What does this mean "I removed the rudder"?

I had a rear steering problem when one of my Lateral Links was loose [the bar from the subframe to behind the wheel hub], it made the car swerve when I hit bumps or let on and off the gas.

Geeze, losing a lateral link is dangerous, be glad you didn't wreck.

Others, give the guy a break, look at his location. I am sure there is somewhat of a language barrier here.

Syritis 01-18-11 01:42 AM

take it to a mechanic.
if you don't know the specific name of the parts your referring too, there is no way we can help.

Mine as exactly like this when I got it. I replaced the rear struts and the "hopping" over bumps disapeared.

he is from another country, hard to understand his english.

Check your tires thread wear and air pressure, make sure they are all good.
Inspect those shock absorbers that where installed, look to see if there is any oil leaks on them or what not, and make sure all bolts are tight.

Try to take pictures for us and put them here so we can see and give you better ideas on what to check.

Yes you most likely need to replace the rear shock absorbers.

I had a bent lateral link and it would hop like a bastard, I would definitely check those if you have replaced the shocks and it is still hopping

-Crash- 01-18-11 04:11 PM

^Well thats good then, hope you find out whats wrong soon!

VermontRX7 01-19-11 04:24 AM

Maybe your springs are gone. What happens if you push down on the rear of car? Does it bounce up and down alot? It shouldn't bounce more than halfway down and spring back into position with no boucing.

Syritis 01-19-11 04:37 AM

if your car moves to one side over a bump then something is broken or you alignment is bad, please take it to a mechanic.

when I push down the suspension is right, a little bit soft but the strut is without oil leak, still fine you know :icon_tup:

Ok, alignment posibly

thanx a lot really!

VermontRX7 01-19-11 01:33 PM

A strut doesn't have to leak to be bad. But if you replaced them, then its not those.

ItsFun 01-19-11 01:58 PM

even with a huge barrier he manages to get the correct word count for A LOT. well done, I know many adults that still write it incorrect, and they are born and raised english. I think if you really think about what he types you can make out everything he is trying to say.

Keep trying, seems like you have a lot learned about english already

Check the following:

Rear links
DTSS bushings
Control arm Bushings
Subframe bushings

Basically inspect all of your rubber bushings. You say the car is basically stock so that means that it's most likely a worn part, unless it's been in an accident.
