Random Technologies?

This company makes high flow cats. They claim they are the most free flowing cats you can buy. And they are WAY cheaper than any other ones I've looked at. I wanted to see if anyone has ever heard anything about these or even used one yourself. Their website is www.randomtechnologies.com

Let me know what you think. I will be purchasing one this week unless I hear some bad stuff about them. Thanx guys.

I've had one installed for almost 2 years now, no complaints at all. I did have them make me a custom unit with inlet and outlet to match my configuration. They were easy to work with (faxing my drawing) and I got exactly what I wanted. Only thing I didn't like was the floating flanges, I would have preferred them to be welded into place.

Has not burned up yet, but I have no idea on if they are better than any other hi-flo that claims to be tolerant of rotary heat. My cat was clogged big time, so when I replaced the cat it was a world of difference.

Hope this helps,

Greg O.

I have managed to burn one up. But that was on a rotary NOT running properly. They are a good cat in my opinion. I am using a different setup on my car right now that I am even more impressed with, but I still like the Randoms.

Yeah, they are like $200 or something but I priced cats from mazdatrix.com and just for an OEM replacement it was like $450!! and their "free flowing" cat is a whopping $1200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So $200 is a bargain for me.

Hey Scott, where did you get yours for $70?

local parts store. it's just a magnaflow 3" universal. I don't think it would last with the air pump and ACV on.
