Wankler there's a hole on the side of the rad to run the overflow tube to so you dont have it hanging out like that :)

XAVIER UK 05-18-06 09:58 AM

That panel has way too many holes.. defeats the purpose of what it was initially designed to do... to direct the airflow (RamAir) straight into the Radiator... with all those holes it filters up instead of straight..it doesnt need that many holes to fasten it down to secure it... sure it looks shiny attractive but not as functional as mine..

The holes have a purpose ya know. The overflow bootle, the Air con bottle ect. Once everthing is in place, it will be perfect.

Now, yours with no holes can not make that big of a difference.

The water bottle is staying put. I was sure to seal all areas around my IC to FORCE the air throught the Rad. Lots of ducting.

THat is a greddy Hat for the TB. Only used wth a IC.

Thank you for he compliment.

When I used the Signal Auto panel I went to Lowe's and got 10ft of 1/2" thick foam adhesive (used for camper weatherstripping) for like $0.89 and put it on the underside of the edges of to help seal and reduce rattles.

The Wankler 05-18-06 04:43 PM

I did ducting like RX7Heavan did, molded in the shape of the front bumper. It should work well.

The Wankler 05-18-06 05:40 PM

Oh, i did do away with that bottle. SOrry about that, got mixed up. Dont think that would work for a N/A

88rxn/a 05-18-06 09:13 PM

Actually I found it still available on the website, just had to look around a little bit. Only problem I saw was that they want $225.00 for it! I paid the owner of the teamfc3s forum for a new KSP one in '04 but he still hasn't seen fit to send it to me yet-fargin bastage.

The signal auto one looks great, I may have to go that route...

XOCHIFUQUA RX7 glad to see you lowered your price lol considering its just a piece of tin with some holes and the average joe could make for under 60 bucks lol. They deffinatly look cool

2RICE4U:its not a piece of tin... its 6061 T6 ALuminum 0.63 thickness.. The price is lower because the old ones were cut on a CNC router type system whereas these new one are Cleanedge Waterjet cut with nice radius on the cutouts... there is no rattle like you would find with those other ones that the guys are talking about above... some of those guys had to buy addtional foam

With mine there is no need

The one that wankler bought for $108.00 he had to invent something so it would fit underneath the bumper... with mine there is no need for that..

I really dont understand the logic...
pay more = modify, weatherstripping,

If the average joe can make one then why is this guy The Wankler spend over $108.00 for tin with holes ?

I guess he is not average then

Stop trying to push your product. I was considering maybe buying one of your's but you're trying so hard to make everyone else's products look bad. You lost my business

Some people dont make the panels themselves because they are lazy or maybe because it takes up time. I dont know about you but to me time=money and time is valuable to people making it a logical conclusion to spend more money on something than to spend their own time making it.

This thread is getting way off topic, I think this one is done for.

How am I trying to make everyone else's products look bad if all I said that their pieces had a lot of holes... The intent of having a product such as this is to not allow the air that comes in to travel anywhere but the radiator... with these many holes it defeats that purspose.... It took me months to get to where I am with my panel.. to make sure that the fitment is perfect.. that it would do what it was designed to do... not to have to buy foam or anything like that to make sure that it doesnt rattle. I have accomplished exactly that.

You are not lazy great ! 2RICE4U is the one that bashed my product when referring to as Tin with holes.. Since you are not lazy like you said then why dont you manufacture the piece yourself? Maybe in your statement above was not even a consideration when you said that If the money is not the issue for you then does it make sense to pay over $100.00 for a product that has too many holes.. doesnt quite fit right because you will have to add foam to it,, and rubber moulding to fit flush with the bumper.

Hey look man.... I have a right to push my product because careful consideration and time went into designing a piece that would work and that is exactly what I have accomplished here. I have been in the aircraft industry for over 20 years and work in the structural overhaul dept.. so i work with Aluminum and manufacturing parts and panels. I know what it takes and I know about functionality. When i took this task I did my homework to ensure fitment and that it would do what it was designed to do. A panel that has as many holes as the one below to me is overkill and not necessary to secure a panel.

I didnt bash your product. LMAO so what if i called it a Tin with holes... THATS WHAT IT IS! I would never buy of those considering everyone wants lots for them when i can make a good one waay cheaper. If i was to make those id charge less, But im not going to make those cause ppl can get off there asses and make it themselfs. Part of owning a car is doing this stuff on your own <--- my point of view of owning a car. Anyways, dont get your underwear all in a bunch cause what i said.
