Quick question about S4 & S5 shifters
I thought I read somewhere that the stock S5 shifter had a shorter throw than the stock S4 shifter. Also, I thought I read it was a bolt-on part for an S4 (S5 shifter that is).
Correct me if I am wrong please..... |

Throw itself is the same but the shifter is shorter.

Not true. I got an S5 shift rod and put it into an S4. Even with the rods being the same length (some shift knob that stuck up real high for minimal movement from wheel to stick..) the S5 had a large reduciton in throw.
It's a direct bolt on too, highly recommended. |

It's a direct bolt on too, highly recommended. A ruler owns you. The shifter is physically shorter in height, so the distance from 1st gear to 2nd gear is shorter, but the actual shifter thow is not changed. |
