Quick Question
Quick Question
I read the archives about how to raise a car. However, I decided to put the jacks under the control arm and on the trailing arm. Are these places acceptable jackstand points for a prolonged period of time? Say 2 weeks to a month.

Personally I hate jackstands. I've seen them collapse before.
However when I use them I always place them on the rear subframe where it bolts to the body, and on the front subframe right where the lower control arm bolts in place.

No those are the incorrect places. In the 2nd gen archive there is a whole thread on this and has the factory recommended spots:

Frame rails... not suspension points.
and your bump has been deleted... bumps are forbidden here in the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section.

I personally don't put them on the frame rails because I think that they would get damaged with my jackstands. I use the mounting points aaron described.
What exactly do you use aaron? I'm curious.
