Question about blown engine
I just bought my first Rx-7. It's a 1990 GTU. A lot of smoke comes out from the exhaust. My buddy is a mechanic, and he told me that the apex seal went on the car. Is there any specific way of telling whether it is damaged (meaning I would have to do a rebuild) or not?

Alot of people here will suggest a Compression Test. Do you know how to do that? Check your FSM. |
Sorry

I missed that part. Yeh ^ what he says, something like that. Blue smoke or white smoke? Does it stop smoking? ^ there is a repair manual in here somewhere in pdf format. look for it. :TYPE: FSM or Factory Service Manual in the search box. and Download it when you find it. Check out FAQ and the ARCHIVES good infos :) *PM'd you the F. S. manual ;) |
It's white smoke
I have another buddy told me it's burning coolant. I know very little about cars, so I kind of have to go on what other people tell me. I'm doing my research on rotaries as much as can though. Cause I really love these cars.
