That my friend is your Throttle Position Sensor. AKA the TPS. You will be needing it, as your car is now acting like ass because it isnt even on the car....btw, where did you find that and was it even hooked to anything?

roflma thats whats crazy i had been driving car it was actign fine then it went crazy on me....i was wondering why so i parked car at home then aftyer 2 days went to drive again and it acted WAY worse and i was like....wtf so ya then my hood wasnt closed all way on right side so i open and thats just sittin there.....i dont know how it came off or where it goes....thx alot bro ill take some more pics after sb as i said

well just to let you know, it goes on teh uim, there should be a place for it that has a bunch of linkage that looks like it needs a brother to hit up, should go to teh lower left of all the linkage on the front of teh uim, that is if you are facing it from teh front of the car.

If you search youll find a million threads on what that lil fucker can cause to go wrong.

Edit: Btw if that thing was just laying on the engine, then id be looking for a pair of screws and some sabotage....just my $.02

You could unplug the tps and it would still crank and run --Talk about major backfires though

hmm well i found out ben my mechanic for car had put his extra one under my hood he says mine is bad.. but now i tryed to start my car with his put on and it wouldnt even crank....not sure but if i get new tps i think it be ok.....no clue though

RotaryEvolution 02-06-06 01:07 AM

yep, i accidentally left it under his hood while testing his TPS. i'm fairly sure it has developed another issue since i checked out the TPS though from the sound of it.
