Sorry if someone already answered this problem, cuz i couldn't find it. But I just bought a 91 rx-7. and the first time i turn the thing on in the day it'll rev up real high, and than i'll put it into reverse or drive, and it'll go real low, and sometimes even stalls out on me. it's an automatic so thats already weird for me. if anybody knows what could be up just holla back. peace out.

 

it's supposed to reve to 3000rpm on cold start to heat up the cat. this is normal. about the stalling. try waiting 30seconds or so before putting it in gear. if it still stalls check for vacuum leaks. and check and make sure your tps is adjusted and working properly.
