power from spark plug wire wrapping?
http://pythonbite.biz/FC3S/diy/plugcord/index.html
can someone translate that better than altavista, i think that may be a good cheap mod :) |
I don't understand why you would want to ground the wires?
|
Looks like they may be trying to shield them from RFI/EFI but why? And why give the spark another good path to ground?
Confused... Cory |
i think they work like nology hot wires by making the spark more intense by shielding it
|
Seems like a bunch of Mumbo-Jumbo to get your money! Buy 3 wires and get a free vortex-tornado intake device AND if you act now a free electric turbocharger!!!
Sorry I am a skeptic! |
Skepticism is good.

ok, this could be usefull if, if! you have older wires. the wraping will eliminate the arcing of any worn spots, or thin spots in the wire. by providing a direct ground you wont have any arcing to the body or nearby metal. allowintg the only "spark" to be at the plug. this shouldnt be needed with new wires unless you have a 10 gigawatt coil or some shit....

why do wires like that give power then? i once saw a dyno chart of a stock MR2 that gained 8 hp from just shielded spark plug wires |
well, what kind of wires did it have befor the change? if they were shitty, old stock ones, well yea
|
here is a translation of the page ....may not be the best

ok, whose gonna be the gunie and try this out? i sure as hell dont have 6 hous to devote to that shit.

First: You can not get more power or performance this way.
This is a spin off of aircraft spark plug wiring. Most small airplanes (piston engines) have shielded plug wires to control radio interference. This is done because they have magnetos, which generate lots of noise. This mod is in "RICER TERRITORY" |
