I gotta question, and correct me if I'm wrong on this. How come the S4 came with the suspension switch option(Sport& something else), that lets you change feel of the ride as you go, but didn't include it on the S5?
Now, as I may think that I'm about to answer my own question, I'm assuming(hate assumptions) that this option for the S5 would've cost alot more money, therefore, by taking out that option and leaving it with Sport suspension, they found this option to be most cost efficient? the way I'm thinking, by leaving out this option, it saves money. Am I somewhat close?

sorry for the off topic post.

Yeah, more and more of these cars are requiring an engine flush these days. Mine will be happening in my basement this winter. :)

Okay I'll make it simpler...

Only about 50% of the S4 Turbos came with power steering

And I'll make my statement simpler for you. I wasn't asking, and didn't care about the option. I just stated that it didn't come on my car, I would check and see what the window sticker said, and that R&T tested one with power steering and did not like the option.

It was a simple observation that didn't warrant flaming.

kontakt 11-18-05 02:31 PM

Yeah, the thing is when it comes to standard options and the words that are associated with the actual vehicle, Icemark is like a quantum physicist that doesn't know how you could possibly not understand algebra. He is also very, very tired of teaching people algebra.

Bukwild 11-18-05 02:40 PM

why they ever put a change holder in a car that gets sucked up into pot holes is a mystery. I guess they needed something to put in there if you didn't get the adjustable suspension or vert head rest speakers

good thread

fc3sfreek 03-02-07 10:32 PM

my 87 TII has this headphone jack looking thing that hangs out by the rear view mirror, it come out of the headliner but i have no idea what its for, a friend of mine who has a 87 base also had this jack but he jus ripped it out and didnt pay attention to where it goes.

daviddeep 03-16-07 12:02 AM

I think the standard features on the '88 GTU were kinda weird, giving the car a sort of split personality. It is sort of lightweight with non-power windows and has most of the cool upgrades of the TII such as stiffer suspension, LSD, 4-piston brakes and better seats. Yet many (if not most) had steel hoods and the sunroof which added a bunch of weight back in. Although you get the nicer seats of the TII, you are stuck with the plastic steering wheel, shift knob and handbrake handle. Also mine has cruise control which seems out of place in the lightweight performance model.

turn and burn 03-16-07 10:02 AM

I seen pictures on an FC with automatic seat belts. Its wierd to me, i have never seen one before.

Mills 03-16-07 10:03 AM

Canada didn't get them, the US did...consider yourself lucky, they are a pain in the ass...

turn and burn 03-16-07 10:10 AM

No shit there a pain in the ass. There only good for pregnent chicks, meaning if they get into an accident and not wearing the lap belt the baby will live.

rotarychainsaw 03-16-07 12:11 PM

My t2 has some sort of rubber rub strip down the main shoulder, or crease, line of the car (the side). You can kind of see it in the picture. I never saw it before, so I figure it was put on by a previous owner.
