Is it possible

to create a shifter gate like this for my FC? (its from a Ferrari) I think it would look cool as hell. :)

Ofcourse it's possible to create a shifter gate for the FC. It wont look exactly like that since the gear pattern is a little different though.

the stock shifter is too thick and the gears are to close together. I doubt you would have any metal between gears. it would just be a metal square hole...

Is there a good reason for a shifter like that? Does it help you shift quicker in any way?

it looks cooler. and if you get lost in the gears while racing, just glance down and you know immedietly

I can glance down and know what gear im in by the position of the stick.. No need for a gate...

I think that right angle only way of shifting would slow me down some. I do admit that it looks bad ass, but.. i kinda go at an angle/diaganal from second to third, fourth to fifth and so on, not straight up, right angle right, straight up at right angle again. Yep....

yeah I was thinking the stock shifter wouldn't allow it because its so thick, but damn.....It'd be really cool if I could rig something that looked nice :)
