please help!

I am going to get a TPS today and I needed to make sure the 86-89 TII and NA are the same. Im pretty sure they are, but I don't want to waste money.

1986-1988 turbo and NA are the same.

The 1989-1991 double TPS are the same for turbo and NA.

Thanks Ted, I ordered two of them just to be safe that one works. How often do they fail? Well I hope this cures my killer 6k rpm cut out. When I put the defective TPS in it cut out at 5k, is that a good sign that I have found my problem?

I dunno about how often, but if yours is original off the factory floor, it wouldn't surprise me it went bad.

Yes, high RPM hesitation and miss can be caused by a faulty TPS...
