please don't flame noob question
i swear :) i checked for a good 15 min on the forum. how do you pull the cel codes. i know you ground a wire close to the coil but which one. thanx

also do s5's have a thermosensor? if so where?
|
s5 has a green single connector near the front coil (next ot the battery). Just jumper it to body 12v- ground.
https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...postid=2917979 Then put key in and turn to on position (but do not start!). Watch the CEL codes blink. Long blink= 10, short blink =1. Its pretty obvious whats going on when you watch the blinking... S5 has a thermosensor in the AFM (air flow meter--pre-throttle body) and on the dynamic chamber (after throttle body). Basicaly, anytime the ECU sees a bad value from a sesnor, it decides not to use it, and instead use a stock default value (which usually makes the car run like shit :P ) EDIT: One more thing, the FSM reference to CEL codes are in section F1, page 18. S5 F1-18. |
lol, kentech, you have so much stuff connected to the battery it hard to tell whats what :p:

I have five y pipes.....the guy can just have one I'm sure.
And what do mufflers cost from autozone or checker? Probly not that much if you get a universal.....in either case it'll be cheap. For crying out loud you go to a junk yard don't you kenteth? |

Sourcing shit localy doesn't work outside of the few other forum members. we do however seem to have a pretty big stockpile in our garages... Anyhow, I've got a y-pipe... its not flanged, or decent looking anymore, but I've got one... Just need to rig up some inbetween piping... |
