Also, when adjusting where the rod sits in the white clip on the actuator, make sure the lock is in the full down position (in the back of the door) and that the actuator arm is fully compressed.
When I first installed this it would not move because the lock arm was up and the actuator was down. When I tried to move the lock arm down it was jammed due to no travel remaining. If you can, get a power supply or battery to check operation prior to wiring up everything and putting the door panel back on. |

Finally got everything installed. Factory alarm works with the keyless entry.
Notes from my install: 1) Dome light monitor is picked up with the door switch at the OEM alarm (negative) 2) Horn picked up at the OEM alarm (negative) 3) Alarm disable at the OEM alarm (negative) 4) Parking lights at headlight switch (I picked up at the aftermarket gauges in the center stack) switch +12 5) Switched 12 I got at the lighter The only real trick was getting the alarm to set using keyless entry with the doors closed. The factory system is looking for the door to be open when setting the alarm. This means the dome light has to be on. To do this I added a relay to the system as follows Solenoid side +12v feed from door lock actuator (+12V when lock is signaled) Chassis Ground Switch side Chassis ground Output to dome light circuit |
